Description: An introduction to computer programming and numerical model- ling. The class will teach the basic principals of how computer programs are written and numerical models constructed, and provide data processing and visual- ization skills. The class will hence foster an ability to apply numerical techniques to problems in Earth and Environmental Sciences.
