Description: A comparative and histori- cal analysis of subordinated communities and law emphasizing integrating theoretical understanding of racial, class, and gender subordination. Includes field experience working directly with groups that have tra- ditionally lacked equal access to the legal and judicial system. Cross-listed with SOC 145. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
