Description: This course provides an overview of the Asian experience in the United States from the mid-nineteenth century immigration to Hawaii and the U.S. Pacific coast to the present. The Asian experi- ence is compared and contrasted with that of African Americans and Chicanos/Latinos. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
