Description: Em- phasizes chromosome-based processes that maintain genome integrity and ensure accurate genome trans- mission during cell division. Topics are drawn from the primary literature and include chromatin structure and composition, DNA repair and recombination, telomere function and chromosome maintenance, mitotic chromosome segregation, and checkpoint surveillance mechanisms.
