Description: Presents the basic concepts of nanoelectron- ics with a focus on current flow through nanostruc- tured devices. Topics include new paradigms of nanoelectronics, an atomistic view of electrical resist- ance, Schroedinger’s equation, Coulomb blockade, basis functions, bandstructure, quantum capacitance, level broadening, and coherent transport.
