Description: Analyzes ethical issues with regard to families of different kinds such as gender relations in traditional marriages; the ethics of same-sex marriage; the morality of abortion, surrogate mothering, and cloning; the justice of school vouchers; the grounds for universal health care; and possible gender inequalities in divorce. Cross-listed with PHIL 168. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
