Prerequisites: freshman standing or consent of instructor

Description: A focused research seminar designed uniquely each time it is taught. Instructors emphasize their field and area of research. Students work in small groups. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
