Description: An examination of the organization, function, and behavior of eukaryotic cells. Explores the molecular mechanisms used by cells to control reproduction, growth, and responses to extracellular signals. Emphasis is on experiments that form the basis of the current understanding of the cell. Students read original journal articles, an analysis of which is the focus of the discussion section.
