Description: Examines the various meanings of gender as it is articulated in, reproduced by, and shaped within the state. Discusses gender-state relations, the engendering of politics, state functions, policy, and politics in various historical, political, cultural, and social contexts. Cross-listed with ANTH 148. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
