Description: Introduction to the increasingly powerful voices of women writers in modernity and postmodernity. Emphasis is on texts originally written in languages other than English, from around the globe. Topics include the question of feminine writing and feminist theories about literature by women. Cross-listed with CPLT 022B. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
