Description: Surveys how high psychological functions (e.g., perception, memory, language) are organized in the human brain. Special emphasis is on behavioral and cognitive impairments due to brain Psychology 405 / Programs and Courses humans. Topics include echolocation abilities of bats and porpoises; bionavigation in birds; electroreception in fish; pheromones in insects; and echolocation, lipreading, and pheromone sensitivity in humans. Emphasis is on cognitive, neurophysiological, and philosophical implications.
