Description: An intensive introduction to oral communication in the academic setting, focusing on academic conversation, dialogue, discussion, groupwork, and presentations. Emphasizes active listening and speaking. Designed for students who need immersive instruction in English as a second language before going on to Basic Writing 3 (BSWT 003). Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC). Course is repeatable to a maximum of 4 units.
