Description: Examines sexual practices and identities from a sociological perspective. Discusses the evolution of knowledge about sexuality; historical and cultural variations in sexual norms and identities; sexual politics and popular culture; and the social control of sexuality (e.g., moral panics, sexual violence, and state regulation of sexual identities or practices).
