Description: Covers properties of systems composed of many atoms arranged in a periodic lattice. Topics include crystal structure, symmetry, and diffraction; crystal cohesion; lattice dynamics; thermal properties; metallic properties and the Fermi surface; band theory of metals and semiconductors; and collective excitations.
