Description: An introduction to digitally based drawing, painting, and printing. Focuses on digital software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Corel Painter to create paintings without the use of traditional paint. Explores the relation of this new medium to traditional painting, drawing, and photography in history and practice. Normally graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC), but students may petition the instructor for a letter grade on the basis of assigned extra work or examination.
