Description: Analyzes the emergence and development of human societies from hunters and gathers to horticultural, agrarian, and industrial forms of social organization. Explores social networks, societal change, the transition from food collecting to food producing, early Germanic societies, the rise of the West, and the causes of the Industrial Revolution.
