Description: Examination of the historical evolution of Mexican and Mexican American social and cultural experience in California from the Spanish colonial period through the late twentieth century. Analysis of the Chicana/o impact on regional culture and American society as a whole. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
