Description: Examines important twentieth- and twenty-first century develop- ments in queer culture and activism in the United States. Focuses on the origins of sexual identity; the relationship between sexuality, race, and gender; queer representation in art and media; and central issues in queer theory. Cross-listed with LGBS 134. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
