Description: Investigation of major themes and issues in the inter- section of religion and politics, such as the sacraliza- tion of politics, religious nationalisms, sacral kingship, revolutionary asceticism, “throne and altar,” civil reli- gion, millennialism, political myth and ritual, integral- ism, and the conformity of the polity to religious val- ues.
