Description: Provides students with a broad understand- ing of the politics and economics of countries that border the Pacific Rim, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and China, and of their relation- ship to the United States. The major issues addressed include economic growth, sociopolitical development, trade, and interdependence.
