Description: Investigation of experimental techniques and cur- rent limits on the origins of electroweak symmetry breaking. Includes examination of the Standard Model and extensions of the Standard Model. Topics include comparison of various production schemes: hadron colliders, electron-positron colliders, and muon collid- ers. Students who present a seminar or submit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable. Hanson
