Description: Introduction to the philosophy of race from clas- sical theorists to contemporary critical race theory. Topics covered include the Enlightenment, discus- sions of race in the founding of the American Republic, Supreme Court decisions from Dred Scott to recent affirmative action decisions, and the concept of race as a social construction.
