Description: Addresses techniques of commer- cial music production, including recording, editing, sequencing, notation preparation, and sound rein- forcement. Combines an examination of the history of commercial sound aesthetics with structured exercis- es in producing, including software benchmarking, project management, budgeting, audio devices, mas- tering, and design for sound reinforcement and mik- ing. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) by students advanced to candidacy for the Ph.D.
