Description: A survey of Spanish music from the Middle Ages to the present. Covers regional folklore and pop- ular styles (especially flamenco) as well as develop- ments in classical music through the major style peri- ods. Examines music in its historical and cultural con- text. Knowledge of Spanish and music not required.
