Prerequisites: comple- tion of ENGL 001B or equivalent
Description: An introduction to the tools in the historian’s workshop. Topics include historical sources, methods of analysis, and various approaches to historical narrative. Discusses historical research, analysis and writing though the study of exemplary historical works and through practice with original historical sources. Prepares students for upper-division History and humanities courses. This course fulfills the third quarter writing requirement for students who earn a grade “C” or better.
