Description: Survey of the history of Greece from the Persian Wars to the death of Alexander the Great. Focuses on Athens, its empire and democracy, and on the Macedonian Empire of Philip and Alexander. Special attention is given to the Greek cultural achievement within the context of changing political and social conditions.
