Description: A study of the principles of sedimentol- ogy and the comparative study of the origins of sedi- ments and sedimentary rocks from various modern and ancient clastic, carbonate, and mixed siliciclastic- carbonate depositional environments. Emphasizes field and stratigraphic relationships, as well as petro- graphic and hand specimen identification.
