Description: A focused study of ideas, forms, or movements within the field of minority discourse that emphasizes comparative readings. Possible topics include African American and Latino prison narra- tives, Asian American and Latino immigrant writing, movement literature of the 1960s and 1970s, inde- pendent publishing, “growing-up” narratives, and issues of identity, culture, and aesthetics.
