Description: Examines the historical development of public and private elementary, secondary, and higher 248 / Programs and Courses education in United States urban areas. Also explores the formal and informal educational programs offered by various social and cultural groups in urban com- munities from the late eighteenth century to the pres- ent. Course is repeatable as topics change.
