Description: This seminar covers the major approaches to achievement motivation with an emphasis on the cognitive approach. Topics include development and individual differences in achievement motivation, achievement- related attitudes and beliefs (e.g., self-concept, attri- butions, perceived control), relations between motiva- tion and school performance.
