Description: Traditional ethnic dances at the beginning level. Focus is on a specific cultural region each quarter. Outside-of-class assignments include attending dance concerts, viewing dance videos, and regular individual practice sessions. Recommended for nondancers and dancers. Normally graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC), but students may petition the instructor for a letter grade on the basis of assigned extra work or examination. Course is repeatable.
