Description: Surveys ethno- graphic literature on Southeast Asian cultures, with an emphasis on contemporary research. Covers anthro- pological approaches to the study of text, ritual, and performance practices; intercultural dynamics; the impact of colonialism and nationalism on traditional cultures; and globalization.
