Description: Examines the intersections of gender, power and sexuality in post-colonial Southeast Asia. Revisits early ethnographic claims of gender equality. Addresses current anthropological literature on the effects of colonialism, capitalism and globalization on gender roles and gender relations within national and transnational contexts.
