Description: Examines the vari- ous meanings of gender as it is articulated in, repro- duced by, and shaped within the state. Discusses gender-state relations, the engendering of politics, state functions, policy, and politics in various histori- cal, political, cultural, and social contexts. Cross-listed with ANTH 148. Fulfills the Social Sciences require- ment for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
