Prerequisites: graduate standing or consent of instructor

Description: Takes a critical and evalua- tive approach to the punishment and correctional sys- tems, assessing what “works and doesn’t work” in efforts to reduce crime and delinquency. Examines prisons, probation, and other crime control measures from a perspective emphasizing the need for system- atic evaluation research.
