Description: Topics include spin-dependent transport and tunneling in magnetic multilayers and tunnel junctions, spin injection and detection in inor- ganic and organic semiconductors, spin transfer torque in nanomagnets, and their technological appli- cations. Students who present a seminar or submit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable. Shi
