Description: Examines the late nineteenth-century origins and twentieth-century evolution of the meaning of heterosexuality in the United States. Includes the medical, psychological, and political history of hetero- sexuality; the race and gender components of hetero- sexuality; and the intersections of heterosexuality and queerness.
