Description: MATH 046 is rec- ommended. An exploration of the physics of the earthquake process. Focuses on fault dynamics dur- ing the earthquake rupture and slip processes and its relationship to ground motion. Utilizes theoreti- cal/analytical tools and numerical models. Includes an independent project in computer modeling.
