Description: Provides an overview of basic communication techniques and an introduction to optimum signal detection and correction. Topics include sampling and bandwidth;pulse code modula- tion; line coding and pulse shaping; delta modulation; stochastic approach to bandwidth and noise corrup- tion; white Gaussian noise; matched filter; optimum signal detection; Shannon theorem; and error correc- tion.
