Description: Introduces basic and advanced concepts of wireless networks and mobile computing. Covers both wire- less cellular and ad hoc networks. Includes protocols for medium access control, resource allocation, and routing, as well as transport layer optimizations for the wireless environment. Also covers standards, Bluetooth, and the IEEE 802.11 for wireless local area networks. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) by students advanced to candidacy for the Ph.D.
