Description: Covers the major Southeast Asian historical periods and cultures. Includes prehistory, classical kingdoms, and early modern trading states. Considers the role of ancient stories, religious sys- tems, technologies, and art forms in forming tradition- al Southeast Asian identities, as well as the influences on these identities from outside the region.
