Description: Develops the necessary critical and imaginative faculties for making sculpture. Through project assignments, stu- dents explore associations between materials, forms, and context to construct or deconstruct ideas. Audiovisual presentations, readings, and group cri- tiques survey twentieth-century modern sculpture and more recent practices. Examines the artist’s role in the cultural landscape of spectacle and entertainment. Course is repeatable to a maximum of 12 units.
