Description: A survey of cinema outside of the economic, insti- tutional, and aesthetic imperatives of mainstream film production. Covers an array of alternative film move- ments, including surrealism and dada, Soviet avant- garde, the Cine 16 Group, French new wave, North American avant-garde, and the artist’s film.
