Description: Introduction to world literature by women across many centuries. Covers the cre- ative work of women from ancient to early modern periods, examining both texts and the historical cir- cumstances of the earliest women writers. Emphasis is on texts originally written in languages other than English, from around the globe. Cross-listed with CPLT 022A. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
