Description: Examines sexual practices and identities from a sociological perspective. Discusses the evolu- tion of knowledge about sexuality, historical and cul- tural variations in sexual norms and identities, sexual politics and popular culture, and the social control of sexuality (e.g., moral panics, sexual violence, and state regulation of sexual identities or practices).
