Prerequisites: graduate standing; consent of instructor
Description: Explores current topics in optical physics and the use of optical and nonlinear optical techniques to make measure- ments of interest in atomic, molecular, chemical, and condensed matter physics. Emphasizes advances in science enabled by advances in laser technology. Students who present a seminar or submit a paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable. Tom
