Prerequisites: graduate standing; consent of instructor

Description: Introduces students to the evolving field of biological physics. Topics include random walks, self-assembly, nucleation theory, scaling laws in poly- mer physics, mechanical properties of biopolymers, protein-DNA, and protein-protein interactions. Students who present a seminar or submit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable. Zandi
