Description: A survey of European history from the mid-eighteenth century to 1968. Focuses on the political and social revolutions in France and Russia, two world wars, and the conse- quences of rapid industrialization. Explains the emer- gence of a large middle class, the transformation of women’s roles, and changing perceptions of the out- side world.
