Prerequisites: consent of instruc- tor

Description: Geological, geophysical, and paleontological bases of interpreting tectonic development of California, with special emphasis on southern California. Interdisciplinary approach will be emphasized. Weekly reading assign- ments, active participation in discussions, and appro- priate field and library research will be required. Participants will prepare two papers and give presentations.
