Description: The Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s. The main focus will be on the “grass roots.” African American aspects of “The Movement,” as it was pop- ularly known, from school desegregation to voting rights and beyond. Cross-listed with HISA 135. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
